Jiggle Physics Fail to Boost The First Descendant’s Player Count

“While we’re proud of the visual elements like jiggle physics that have set us apart, we know there’s more to The First Descendant than just eye candy,” said a representative from the development team. “We’re listening to our players and working hard to improve the core gameplay experience.”

Despite its innovative gameplay mechanics and eye-catching visuals, The First Descendant, a free-to-play third-person action shooter, is struggling to maintain its player base. While the game received a fair amount of attention at launch, recent reports indicate that the title’s player count has significantly dropped, despite a handful of features designed to keep players engaged. One of the standout features that gained initial attention was its use of jiggle physics, an animation technique that enhances the game’s aesthetic appeal.

However, it seems that even this popular feature wasn’t enough to keep players around for the long haul. Many are citing repetitive gameplay loops, lackluster progression systems, and server issues as major contributors to the game’s decline in active users. While The First Descendant initially impressed with its character designs and unique approach to co-op PvE (player versus environment) missions, it appears that the depth needed to sustain a growing player base is lacking.

The developer has hinted at upcoming content updates and adjustments to core gameplay, but it remains to be seen whether these changes will be enough to revitalize the game and bring players back. Until then, it seems that the charm of jiggle physics is not enough to carry the game’s long-term success.

“The game definitely has potential, but I think a lot of people quickly realized that the novelty of the graphics doesn’t make up for the lack of engaging mechanics,” said one former player. “It’s going to take more than that to keep players coming back.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remastered Hits Xbox Game Pass Day One, Brings Doom Into the Mix

“Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remastered is a love letter to the fans, combining the best of the skating world with some unexpected but exciting Doom elements. It’s the perfect way to bring two iconic franchises together.”Skateboarding Game Developer

In an exciting move for fans of both skateboarding and classic gaming, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remastered is making its way to Xbox Game Pass on launch day, offering players a chance to relive the thrill of these iconic titles without the need for a purchase. As part of the remaster, the developers have also integrated a surprising twist—Doom elements have been added to the mix, merging the adrenaline of skating with the chaos of one of the most famous first-person shooter franchises ever.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, originally released in the early 2000s, are considered some of the best entries in the skateboarding series. This remaster includes updated graphics, smoother controls, and some exciting new features to keep players engaged. And with the inclusion of Doom elements, including themed levels, character skins, and even special weapons, the remaster takes things to an entirely new level of fun.

This is not only great news for fans of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but also for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, who can enjoy these classics without additional costs. The mix of genres, from the fast-paced skateboarding mechanics to the intense action of Doom, offers a unique experience that could attract both old and new players alike.

“With Xbox Game Pass offering Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 on day one, we’re thrilled to bring this classic back to life for a new generation of gamers. Adding Doom into the mix is just the cherry on top.”Microsoft Game Pass Manager
